Terms of Service
The conditions governing use of this website and the booking of our events — kept short, readable and free of traps.
Effective: 1 January 2025 · Last reviewed: August 2025
1. Acceptance
By using aussiecruiseevents.com or engaging Aussie Cruise Events Melbourne Pty Ltd for services, you accept these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Website Use
Content on this site is provided for general information about our services. Prices shown are indicative starting points; a binding price is issued only in a written quotation. You may not copy substantial portions of the site, scrape it, or use its content to promote competing services.
3. Quotations and Bookings
- Written quotations are valid for thirty days unless stated otherwise.
- A booking is confirmed only on receipt of the agreed deposit — typically 30% of the event total.
- Balance payment is due fourteen days before the event date unless the agreement states otherwise.
- Provisional date holds are offered in good faith and released after fourteen days without a deposit.
4. Event Terms
- Guest numbers may vary ±10% from the contracted figure; catering is locked at the confirmed count.
- Casino-format events are strictly 18+. Photo ID may be requested for guests of uncertain age.
- Guests must comply with vessel safety directions and our Responsible Service of Alcohol policies at all times.
- Clients are responsible for the conduct of their guests; damage caused by guests is chargeable at cost.
- The client warrants they have authority to book on behalf of all attendees in a corporate booking.
5. Weather and Maritime Operations
Safety decisions rest with the vessel's master and are final. If conditions prevent sailing, your event transfers to an alternative date at no charge, or to a dockside format aboard the vessel where feasible. This weather guarantee is in addition to your rights under our Refunds & Cancellations policy.
6. Gaming Format
Our events are social entertainment: chips carry no cash value, prizes are non-monetary (trophies, merchandise, vouchers, or charity donations), and no wagering of any kind is permitted. Attempting to introduce cash stakes to our tables results in removal from the event without refund — this is non-negotiable and keeps every event lawful.
7. Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation rights, reschedule options and refund percentages are set out in detail on our Refunds & Cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that law, our liability for services is limited to resupply of the services or payment of the cost of resupply. Personal items remain the owner's responsibility; we recommend event insurance for high-value items.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control — including weather emergencies, industrial action, government directions or vessel unavailability. In such cases we will always offer reschedule or refund options in line with our refunds policy.
10. General
These terms are governed by Victorian law. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Questions about these terms: [email protected] or +61 3 9646 7215.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is a booking actually confirmed?
On receipt of your deposit — until then dates are held provisionally for fourteen days. You will always receive written confirmation once the booking is locked.
What if our guest count changes?
Variations of ±10% are accommodated at no charge up to seven days out. Larger changes may adjust the vessel or table allocation — tell us as early as possible and we will absorb the impact.
Can under-18s attend any event?
Casino-format events are strictly 18+ due to the gaming theme and licensed bar. Family-format events with alternative entertainment can be designed for mixed-age groups — ask us.
